The Graduate School of Management (GSOM<\/a>) at Clark University<\/a> has maintained its business accreditation by AACSB International<\/a>—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than five percent of the world’s business programs.<\/p>\n

Created in 1982, the Graduate School of Management earned its initial AACSB accreditation in 1986.<\/p>\n

“Although it is challenging for a smaller school to maintain the investment required to earn this distinguished recognition, AACSB accreditation<\/a> is an important signal to our faculty, staff, students, alumni, and organizational partners, we are committed to maintaining a high quality of instruction, promoting meaningful interaction with industry, and producing impactful research,” said Catherine Usoff, Dean of GSOM.<\/p>\n

In addition to an undergraduate management major, the school offers an MBA program with several concentration options including Social Change<\/a> and Sustainability<\/a>, a Master of Science in Finance<\/a>, a Master of Science in Accounting<\/a>, and two dual degrees with the International Development, Community, and Environment<\/a> department at Clark. Students at GSOM receive a high quality management education while having easy access to the varied opportunities and resources of an urban, liberal arts, research university.<\/p>\n

“It takes a great deal of commitment and determination to earn and maintain AACSB Accreditation,” said Robert D. Reid, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. “Business schools must not only meet specific standards of excellence, but their deans, faculty, and professional staff must make a commitment to ongoing continuous improvement to ensure that the institution will continue to deliver the highest quality of education to students.”<\/p>\n

Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees in business and accounting. Today, there are 672 business schools<\/a> in nearly 50 countries and territories that maintain AACSB Accreditation.<\/p>\n

GSOM is a small, academically rigorous business school that offers a personalized, collaborative learning experience. Recognized by The Princeton Review<\/em> as a “Best Business School”, GSOM was recently named one of the top 16 places to study ‘green business” by Entrepreneur <\/em>magazine.<\/p>\n
