From left: Officer Efrain Diaz, Officer Francis Torres, University Police Office Manager Melissa Tula and Chief Stephen Goulet took part in the April 19 Finish Strong 5K.\r\n\r\nMembers of the Clark University Police Department participated in the April 19 Watertown Police Finish Strong 5K, held on the one year anniversary of the capture of the surviving Boston Marathon bombing suspect. The goal of the event, organized by the Watertown Police Supervisors Association, was “to fill the streets of Watertown in a celebratory 5k road race.”\r\n\r\nMoney raised by the runners will benefit the WPSA, local charity & victim funds, the One Fund, and the Watertown Police Foundation, a new fund to support youth community programming and school safety initiatives.\r\n\r\nClark’s runners shared their thoughts on the special day:\r\n\r\n“To experience all the emotion and camaraderie of this race was beyond words. You just felt it and took it all in. I’m proud of our team and how they represented Clark U.”\r\n<\/p>
Chief Stephen Goulet<\/em><\/p>\r\n“It was a great experience accomplishing a 5K with my co-workers. The team building and general camaraderie makes for lasting friendships.”\r\n Officer Francis Torres<\/em><\/p>\r\n“It was my first run of the year and I enjoyed running it with those I work closely with.
