As part of a Management Consulting Projects course, Clark University Graduate School of Management students worked with Old Sturbridge Village, the largest outdoor history museum in the Northeast, to analyze its accounting information system.<\/p>\n
Meeting first with museum representatives to decide on the project’s scope, the student team then developed a detailed flow chart of the client’s existing system and later evaluated it, including how various modules interacted within the system. The team’s research continued on alternative solutions, with the goal of providing Old Sturbridge Village a comparative analysis between its existing system and the two alternative solutions, including cost-benefit and risk analyses.<\/p>\n
