Leslie Crane<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nLeslie Crane of Newton, Mass., is a retired administrative law judge. She serves on the executive committee of her synagogue, where she has been a long time board member and co-chaired its recent capital campaign. She has served as a member of the Philanthropic Leadership Council of the Children’s Hospital Division of Developmental Medicine, the board of Camp Ramah, the development committee and parent association of Gann Academy, and also co-chaired the annual fundraising gala for Gateways. Leslie graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Boston University School of Law. She lives with her husband, Alan, and her youngest son, Noah, who is a rising senior at Clark. Noah is doing a student-designed major in Jewish Studies and Religion. He is on the Coordination Council of Hillel, the Student Activities Board, and is a member of Amateur Hour, an improv group.<\/p>\n![\"Karen](\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/Parents-Council-Karen-Weisgerber-1.png\")
Karen Weisgerber<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nKaren Weisgerber is a psychologist with a clinical and consulting practice in Newton, Massachusetts, where she lived. She served on the faculty of Boston College, where she received her Ph.D., for over 20 years. She has held leadership and development positions in non-profit organizations with a focus on education and community outreach and has been an active volunteer in the Newton Public Schools in both service and committee work. She was the co-moderator of the Union Church in Waban, where she also served as co-chair for two capital campaigns. She serves on the board of the HJH Libraries for All Foundation, a group devoted to literacy and health services in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua (Newton’s sister city). Her daughter, Cate, is a rising junior at Clark majoring in Environmental Science. Cate also enjoys working for admissions, rowing on the crew team and participating in the Clark Model United Nations team.<\/p>\n
“Leslie and Karen are two experienced nonprofit leaders who have a deep commitment to Clark,” said Kevin Wesley, executive director of alumni and friends engagement and The Clark Fund. “They have hit the ground running in advising how to better connect parents to the University.”<\/p>\n
The Clark Undergraduate Parents Advisory Council was founded in 2014 with the purpose of engaging the families of Clark students in the life of the Clark community during and after a student’s matriculation. The Parents Council communicates with the broad network of families through social and other media, encourages families to participate in events, and serves as a resource for sharing parent perspectives with Clark administration.<\/body><\/html><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
