Recipients honored for going above and beyond in campus leadership roles<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Each year, Clark University’s Senior Awards recognize members of the graduating class for their outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the campus community.<\/p>\n

This year, Clark is honoring nine members of the Class of 2021 with Outstanding Contribution Awards and Special Recognition Senior Awards that commend their leadership roles across various areas of the University — from advocacy and student support to student life and wellness. The University also will recognize graduates’ exceptional academic contributions through the Howard Bonar Jefferson Award and Paul P. Vouras ’51 Social Science Award, as well as the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Fiat Lux Honor Society, and Gryphon and Pleiades Honor Society.<\/p>\n

“The Senior Awards honor a select few of our exceptional and engaged seniors, a difficult task with the Class of 2021 — a dedicated, passionate, and energized group of students who have accomplished so much and changed Clark for the better in the most difficult of times,” says Danielle Morgan Acosta, associate dean of students for Student Engagement. “The recipients of these honors are well known by their peers, faculty, and staff as active and engaged student leaders who have impacted our community in meaningful and long-lasting ways.”<\/p>\n

Allison Shilling, director of campus life for Student Leadership and Programming, adds that faculty and staff, with pride and joy, selected each individual from a large pool of outstanding graduates. In the coming days, the nine Senior Award winners will be featured on the Clark 2021 Senior Week Instagram<\/a> account, including a photo of each recipient and a description of their impact at Clark.<\/p>\n

“Each senior is known for going above and beyond in their leadership roles on campus,” Shilling says. “They continuously strive to do better for the community, and their actions have positively touched the lives of many. It is our hope that they understand the impact they had on their graduating class, the rest of the student body, faculty, and staff here at Clark University.”<\/p>\n
