Each map \u201cshowcases the powerful capabilities of GIS technology and tells stories you\u2019ll want to explore,\u201d according to the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/Natalia-Hasler-200x300-2.jpg\" alt=\"Natalia Hasler\" class=\"wp-image-21968\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Natalia Hasler<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Available for print, the 36-by-24-inch wall map aims to communicate forest carbon concepts in a clear and approachable way. It illustrates the importance of forests to climate goals and visualizes updated National Forest Carbon Monitoring System datasets developed by Williams\u2019 lab under contract from Open Space Institute. Conservation organizations and state and federal agencies use the dataset in targeting forest conservation for the greatest climate benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Natalia Hasler, a research scientist based in the lab, which is affiliated with Clark\u2019s School of Climate, Environment, and Society, \u201cdeserves all of the credit for the coding, data processing, methods advances, and geospatial work that produced this dataset,\u201d Williams says. \u201cWe are proud that a display of our lab\u2019s data on U.S. forest carbon stocks and carbon uptake has been
