Failure to update your U.S. address with Clark University and the U.S. government may have a significant impact on your immigration status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To update your address, please refer below to the visa type and status that applies to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: Updating your address with the U.S. Post Office does not meet the address update criteria.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have questions about updating your address, please reach out to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:ISSO@clarku.edu\">ISSO@clarku.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"current-f1-students-and-j1-students\" class=\"wp-block-group section is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-current-f-1-students-and-j-1-students\">Current F-1 students and J-1 students<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently enrolled students must update their U.S. address using&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/you.clarku.edu\/uPortal\/f\/welcome\/normal\/render.uP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ClarkYou<\/a>. The ISSO will update SEVIS with your address. It is very important that the ISSO have a record of your physical address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you live in a Clark University residence hall, your U.S. address will be automatically updated by the University \u2014 you do not need to update your U.S. address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You do not need to update your U.S. address if you leave the U.S. for short periods (e.g., holiday breaks). However, you must update your U.S. address within 10 days of returning to the United States if you move to a new address.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>How to update your address and contact information<\/summary>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use your\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/you.clarku.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ClarkYOU account<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to update your:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/offices\/registrar\/students\/\">Submit a Change of Address Form<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to the\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:registrar@clarku.edu\">Registrar<\/a>\u00a0to update your:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Foreign Address (The Registrar\u2019s Office will review and update your student account)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0If you are a J-1 student sponsored by another organization such as IIE\/Fulbright, you also need to update your address with your program sponsor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"f1-students-on-post-completion-and-stem-opt\" class=\"wp-block-group section is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-f-1-students-on-post-completion-and-stem-opt\">F-1 students on post-completion and STEM OPT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are an F-1 student on post-completion Optional Practical Training (including the 24-month STEM Extension of OPT), you do not need to update your current U.S. address in ClarkYou. Instead, update your contact information directly through the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sevp.ice.gov\/opt\/#\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SEVP OPT Portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your OPT or STEM OPT is pending and your address changes, please refer to guidance on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/addresschange\">USCIS website<\/a>. Keep in mind that changing your address may cause delays in receiving your EAD card.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"current-j1-scholars\" class=\"wp-block-group section is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-current-j-1-scholars\">Current J-1 scholars<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a J-1 scholar sponsored by Clark, you can update your address by updating your profile in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/isso.clarku.edu\/index.cfm?fuseaction=scholarPortal.Department#\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ISSO Portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, if you are employed by Clark, you must update your Clark employee records with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/human-resources\/contact\/\">Human Resources<\/a>&nbsp;to ensure that your employee file is accurate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"h1b-01-or-tn-employees-at-clark\" class=\"wp-block-group section is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-h-1b-o-1-or-tn-employees-at-clark\">H-1B, O-1, or TN employees at Clark<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are an employee at Clark on an H-1B, 0-1, or TN visa status, you are required to update the Department of Homeland Security of your new address within 10 days of an address change:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/ar-11\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">USCIS Form AR-11<\/a>\u00a0to provide your new contact information.
