Think of your file share as a hard drive on the Clark network. The files you place in your personal file share can be accessed only by you. When you are logged in, with your Clark Account, to a Windows computer that is a member of the domain (such as those in administrative or faculty offices or tech spaces), your personal file share will map automatically as the \u201cM:\/\u201d drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Available to:<\/strong>&nbsp;Faculty, Staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Default storage space:<\/strong>&nbsp;750 MB<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>On Premises: Class File Shares<\/summary>\n<p>Class files shares, for course-related student data storage, are available to faculty who teach courses where students generate data and require a place to store the data during the course. Space is assigned to each student along with \u201cmodify\u201d access granted on a per-student basis. Class file shares are considered temporary file shares and will be removed (deleting all content in the file share) 20 days after completion of the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Available to:<\/strong>&nbsp;Students, Faculty <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Default storage space:<\/strong>&nbsp;1 GB <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/apps.clarku.edu\/file-share-request\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here to request a class share (login and fill out the form)<\/a>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For additionally registered students please contact Help Desk. Do not fill out a new form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>See help documents below on how to map your class share drive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>On Premises: Departmental File Shares<\/summary>\n<p>Academic and administrative departments can request file shares for groups of faculty, staff, or student workers to use. All users in the group must have a Clark Account and files in this storage space are shared among those approved by the owner. The access options are \u201cRead-Only,\u201d or \u201cFull.\u201d This access can be granted on a person-by-person basis, to groups, or to everyone; access on an individual file or directory basis is not available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Available to:<\/strong>&nbsp;Faculty, Staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Default storage space:<\/strong>&nbsp;1GB.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/information-technology-services\/departmental-file-shares\/\">Click here to request a departmental file share<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>On Premises: Research File Shares<\/summary>\n<p>Research files shares are available to faculty and staff associated with sponsored research projects.
