See Training &amp; Development below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outline the employee first week in advance, including meetings, onboarding time, and training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-group boxout has-lighter-blue-background-color has-background is-content-justification-left is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-12dd3699 wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-where-to-go-for-help\" style=\"padding-top:0\">Where to go for help<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure the employee knows who to contact for common questions to avoid delays early on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checkmark-list\">\n<li>HR &#8211; <a href=\"mailto:hr@clarku.edu\">hr@clarku.edu<\/a> | 508-793-7294<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ITS Help Desk &#8211; computer, email, and technical issues; submit a ticket via the ITS Help Desk portal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payroll &#8211; pay, direct deposit, and pay statements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/offices\/facilities-management\/\">Facilities<\/a> &#8211; building access, keys, and workspace issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Department contacts &#8211; day-to-day questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-training-and-development\" style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\">Training and development<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Clark uses KnowBe4 to deliver required onboarding training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the employee&#8217;s first week, they will receive an email directly from KnowBe4 with instructions to access and complete their assigned training modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The required training may take a few hours to complete, so plan to block time early in the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Managers are not responsible for assigning the training, but should confirm that the employee has received the email, logged in, and started the modules. If the employee does not receive the email within the first few days, they should be directed to HR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-benefits-new-hire-orientation\" style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\">Benefits \/ new hire orientation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checkmark-list\">\n<li>HR will contact the employee during the first week to schedule orientation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm they received the email and scheduled the session.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-system-access-if-applicable\" style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\">System access (if applicable)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SmartBuy Plus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checkmark-list\">\n<li>Access SmartBuy Plus securely through ClarkYOU.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete the\u00a0SmartBuy\u00a0User Update and Registration Form within\u00a0SmartBuy\u00a0Plus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training materials and instructional videos are available directly within the platform.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-banner-access\">Banner access<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checkmark-list\">\n<li>Submit Banner and\/or Banner Finance access requests through\u00a0SmartBuy\u00a0Plus or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/information-technology-services\/accessing-banner\/\">Banner Access page<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Banner Finance access requests are reviewed and approved by the Finance team.
