There are limited singles available on campus. Should you believe you need a housing accommodation, please contact&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/offices\/student-accessibility-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Student Accessibility Services (SAS)<\/a>&nbsp;to register with their office by June 11, 2026. Students living in traditional lifestyle or suite lifestyle housing are&nbsp;<em><strong>required<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;to have a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/offices\/housing\/on-campus-housing\/housing-packages\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">full meal plan,<\/a>&nbsp;and they will be assigned the All Access Plan if no selection is made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>How to apply<\/summary>\n<p>You must have a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/orientation\/summer\/undergraduate\/to-do-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Clark account<\/a>&nbsp;to apply. Once you have set up your Clark email address, you may&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/clark.datacenter.adirondacksolutions.com\/clark_thdss_prod\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sign on to the Housing &amp; Dining Portal to access and complete the housing application<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another way to access the form (also using your Clark credentials) is to log in via the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/you.clarku.edu\/uPortal\/f\/welcome\/normal\/render.uP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ClarkYOU portal<\/a>. Once you log in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the menu item&nbsp;<strong>Housing and Dining Self-Service.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the&nbsp;<strong>Applications, Forms &amp; Requests tab.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill out the&nbsp;<strong>Fall 2026 Incoming Undergraduate Housing Application<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group section is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-move-in-schedule\">Move-in schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Incoming first-year student move-in<\/strong>: Thursday, August 20, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will receive a one hour arrival time block between 9:00am \u2013 12:00pm based on their housing assignment. Student will receive move-in instructions via email. You can view the move-in map for first-year move-in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/housing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/75\/2023_Move-in_Map.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Incoming transfer student move-in<\/strong>: Friday, August 21, 2026 between 9:00am \u2013 12:00pm<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group section is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-early-arrival\">Early arrival<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Clark has several pre-orientation groups that have separate early arrival dates and move-in information. Please confirm your move-in information with your program director. Outside of pre-orientation groups, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate incoming students arriving earlier than August 20, 2026. Reminder: students living in traditional and suite style housing are required to be on a full meal plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students have until Friday, September 4, 2026 at 5:00pm to reduce\/cancel their\u00a0meal plan. After Friday, September 4, 2026, students can only add a meal plan. Meal plan information can be found\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/housing\/on-campus-housing\/housing-packages\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>I requested a single but didn\u2019t get one, how do I get one?<\/summary>\n<p>Single and suite room types are filled based on a first come, first-serve basis, with priority being given to those students with approved accommodations through Student Accessibility Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who are looking to change their rooms will be able to submit a room change request starting Monday, September 7, 2026. The form will be available online and further instructions will be sent to your Clark\u00a0email address when the form becomes available. Singles on campus\u00a0are very limited, so it is highly unlikely that you will be able to switch into a single room even if you complete the room change request form.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>I don\u2019t like my housing placement how do I get something else?<\/summary>\n<p>Students who are looking to change their rooms will be able to submit a room change request starting Monday, September 7, 2026. The form will be available online and further instructions will be sent to your Clark email address when the form becomes available. Singles on campus are very limited, so it is highly unlikely that you will be able to switch into a single room even if you complete the room change request form.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>If something doesn\u2019t work with my roommate, when am I able to change rooms?<\/summary>\n<p>Your residence hall is overseen by a Community Director who is a live-on professional staff member trained to assist students with concerns, connectedness, etc. as they live on campus. Additionally, on your floor there will be a Resident Adviser, a student staff member, who is also trained to assist students in dealing with concerns in their living area. We strongly encourage students to work with their Resident Adviser and Community Director to try and mediate any issues and concerns first. Many times, the problem can be resolved. In addition to potentially being able to resolve the concerns, another reason we encourage students to work with their Hall staff is because the room change process not being available until a few weeks into the semester.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>How can I see what my residence hall looks like?<\/summary>\n<p>We invite students to take a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/clarku.university-tour.com\/?pk_campaign=Non%20Admissions_Clark%20U_Virtual%20Tour_Fall2020&amp;pk_medium=Non%20Admissions%20Pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">virtual tour<\/a>&nbsp;to see what the inside of our residential halls and houses looks like.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Can you tell me the specific dimensions of the rooms and\/or furniture?<\/summary>\n<p>While some of our room sizes may vary, every student room comes with a bed, dresser,&nbsp;desk,&nbsp;and desk&nbsp;chair.&nbsp;Unfortunately, we do not have dimensions&nbsp;of&nbsp;the rooms or furniture provided in each of our halls.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clark University students can view building floor plans by clicking <a href=\"https:\/\/clarkuedu.sharepoint.com\/sites\/ResidentialLifeHousingFloorPlans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Am I able to loft my bed? What about bunking two beds?<\/summary>\n<p>Unfortunately, for fire safety reasons students are unable to loft or bunk their beds. In most of our residence halls, students can adjust the height of their bed to provide some extra storage. Students who need assistance can submit a worker order <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/offices\/facilities-management\/facilities-work-order\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Can I get bed risers?<\/summary>\n<p>Yes! Most standard bed risers work (around 2.5-3\u2033 diameter), and many of our students also use extra tall bed risers. The one kind we don\u2019t allow are bed risers with built-in electrical outlets, as they are a fire safety hazard.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Do any of the desk drawers or cabinets lock for storage of valuables?<\/summary>\n<p>None of our desk drawers of cabinets lock. Many students end up buying a small safe to keep valuables in.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>If I want to hang posters or photos on the walls, is there a particular adhesive product that you recommend, or can we use anything we want?<\/summary>\n<p>Only removable adhesives that do not cause damage or leave marks can be used to hang objects on walls. Do not use scotch tape, masking tape, or pushpins in woodwork.
