Nadia\u2019s dissertation \u201cTransformations of \u2018Never Again\u2019: Holocaust Education in the United States\u201d seeks to understand the history of Holocaust education through the \u201cNever Again\u201d mantra in Holocaust museums and education centers in the United States from the late 1960s to present day. Through a discourse analysis of the educational and philanthropic strategies of seven Holocaust education centers and museums, she intends to study how the \u201cNever Again\u201d mantra is mobilized throughout shifting political realities in the United States to include or exclude victim groups beyond the Holocaust. Transformations of \u201cNever Again,\u201d often the core goal of Holocaust education, will unveil shifts in educational goals in Holocaust museums throughout the following timeline: 1960-1979 the beginning of Holocaust education in the US; 1980-2000 the \u201cmemory boom\u201d during which several Holocaust museums, including the United States Holocaust Museum Memorial, opened; 2001-2009 the post-9\/11 era in which the Holocaust became entangled with the memory of the September 11th attacks; 2010-2022 during which several Holocaust museums began to transition to encompass human rights studies; and 2023 to present day after the October 7th attacks and subsequent Israel-Hamas War which has led to a spectrum of allusions to the Holocaust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
