Health Advisory Board

To provide expert guidance on the Healthy Clark COVID Plan and support the University’s goals for health and safety on campus, we have established the Clark Health Advisory Board.

John O’Brien
John O’Brien is the former CEO of UMass Memorial Health Care in Worcester, and earlier served as CEO of Cambridge Health Alliance. He is the former Mosakowski Distinguished Professor of Higher Education at Clark University.

Michael Agus
Michael Agus, MD, is a physician at Boston Children’s Hospital. He serves as Division Chief, Division of Medical Critical Care; Endowed Chair in Critical Care; Medical Director, Medical Intensive Care Unit and Intermediate Care Program; and Co-Medical Director, Biocontainment Unit. He is the parent of a Clark student.

Yvonne Chan
Yvonne Chan is a Partner at Jones Day, where she represents a wide variety of clients, including financial institutions, technology and life sciences companies, and colleges and universities. She also serves on the Boston Bar Association Council.

Alan Crane
Alan Crane is an Entrepreneur Partner with Polaris Partners, focusing on building and investing in health care companies. He is the parent of a Clark student.

Patrick Derr
Patrick Derr is Professor of Philosophy at Clark University, where he focuses on medical ethics and health policy and the philosophy of science.

Dr. Dennis Dimitri ’75
Dr. Dennis Dimitri ’75 is a physician and former vice chair of the Clinical Services Department of Family Medicine at UMass-Memorial Health Care.

Chief Health Officer

Dennis Keefe is former President and CEO of the Care New England Health Care System. Previously, he was the Chief Executive Officer of the Cambridge Health Alliance and the Commissioner of Public Health for the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Massachusetts advocacy organization Health Care for All for his efforts to improve access to medical care.
