If you choose to join, you\u2019ll be given a student account, which allows you to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Customize a profile with attributes similar to students in your department<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>See what students see on Handshake<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Search employers, jobs internships and fellowships available to Clark students through the platform<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help your students with the internship or job searches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Show your classes what Handshake can do for them, and encourage them to activate their accounts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-faq is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>I have heard that Clark students already have accounts made, which they simply claim and activate. Do I have an account waiting?<\/summary>\n<p>While all Clark students have an account made from their Banner account, faculty and staff need to have an account created. To request a student account, email <a href=\"mailto:ugoncampusemployment@clarku.edu\">ugoncampusemployment@clarku.edu<\/a> and specify that you would like a student account. To post jobs on Handshake, you will need an employer account. To request an employer account, email <a href=\"mailto:ugoncampusemployment@clarku.edu\">ugoncampusemployment@clarku.edu<\/a> and specify that you would like an employer account to post jobs.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-faq is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Do I have to customize my profile?<\/summary>\n<p>You do not need to customize your profile to search for employers, jobs, internships and fellowships. However, customizing your profile will allow Handshake to send you curated job and internship suggestions. What should I do?<\/summary>\n<p>Students should log into Handshake through ClarkYOU or the button on our central&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/handshake\/\">Handshake page<\/a>. If you can\u2019t log into Handshake, ClarkYOU, or other Clark services, contact the ITS Help Desk at <a href=\"mailto:helpdesk@clarku.edu\">helpdesk@clarku.edu<\/a> or +1-508-793-7745. If you are job hunting, and wish to make your profile visible to employers, follow the directions in this article:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/support.joinhandshake.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/218692638-How-to-Change-Your-Student-Profile-to-Private-Public-for-Employers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How to Change Your Student Profile to Public\/Private for Employers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-faq is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Will approval of my resume be required to upload it into Handshake?<\/summary>\n<p>Once you upload your resume, cover letter, or other documents into Handshake, they will be available for immediate use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, several programs across campus (such as applications for on-campus employment, Study Abroad, Academic Internships, on-campus funding, etc.) will require you to have your resume approved in order to complete those applications.
