Students must consider other expenses such as fees, books, housing, etc., when making financial plans for graduate school.\u202fEstimated expenses are for the current calendar year and are subject to change.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Fees and expenses<\/summary>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-international-student-fee-375\">International Student Fee: $375<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This one-time fee is assessed to all international students the first time at matriculation.&nbsp;It may be assessed to both graduate and undergraduate students. This fee supports the student visa processing program from enrollment through to the end of their academic program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-graduate-orientation-fee-125\">Graduate Orientation Fee: $125<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This one-time fee is assessed when a student enrolls and matriculates in a graduate program.&nbsp; The fee supports new student welcome, orientation and other onboarding events and programs associated at both the department and university level. The fee is assessed to all graduate students including Ph.D., MAT, MPA, MS\/MA, MFA programs.&nbsp; The fee is also assessed to students participating in the 5<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;year master\u2019s program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-student-council-fees\">Student Council Fees<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>School of Arts and Sciences: $20 per full-time semester<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School of Business: $45 per full-time semester<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School of Business: $20 per full-time semester<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Department of Sustainability and Social Justice: $20 per full-time semester<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Student council fees are assessed to all full-time, campus-based students. Fully online students are not assessed this fee.&nbsp; The funds support graduate student council activities at the school or department level.&nbsp; The elected student officers of each council determine the use of these funds.&nbsp; Funds are typically used to support student life activities, travel grants (e.g. academic conferences) and other council-sponsored academic programming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-stem-program-technology-fee-nbsp-350-per-full-time-semester\">STEM Program Technology Fee:&nbsp; $350 per full-time semester<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This fee is assessed each full-time semester to students in certain STEM designated programs.&nbsp; These programs are supported by a higher level of technology (both software and hardware) and this fee aids in defraying the added costs associated with those services.&nbsp; The affected programs include:&nbsp; MSGIS, MSCS, MSDA, MSIT, MSBA, MSAA, MSMKA, MSF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-full-time-student-services-fee-500-per-full-time-semester\">Full-Time Student Services Fee: $500 per full-time semester<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This fee is assessed each full-time semester to students in School of Business, School of Professional Studies, and Dept. of Sustainability and Social Justice. This fee is not refundable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We grant waivers for the following populations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants from organizations partnered with Clark (e.g., AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, City Year, Fulbright, Teach for America, McNair Scholars, National Association of Black Accountants, among others)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clark alumni<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Current Clark employees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>English language waiver policy<\/summary>\n<p>Students who are citizens of the following countries, or who have completed an accredited degree program at a university in one of these countries\u2014with a minimum of two years of in-person study\u2014are exempt from the English language proficiency requirements:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Canada (except Quebec), Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Fiji, Gambia, Ghana, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guam, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Liberia, Lesotho, Malta, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Montserrat, Namibia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Rwanda, Scotland, Sierra Leone, Seychelles, Solomon Islands, St. Helen, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, Uganda, United Kingdom, The United States of America, Virgin Islands, Zimbabwe, and Zambia.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Non-refundable enrollment deposit policy<\/summary>\n<p>The enrollment deposit is nonrefundable in all circumstances, even in the case of a visa denial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Deferred admission policy<\/summary>\n<p>Admitted students may defer admission for up to one full year from their term of admission (i.e. Fall 2023 admitted students can defer to Spring or Fall 2024). Only students that have accepted an offer of admission are eligible to defer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All deferral requests must be submitted <strong>before<\/strong> the first full day of classes and 1st module of your enrolled semester, as per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/offices\/registrar\/academic-calendars\/\">the academic calendar<\/a>. After that date, applicants will need to re-apply to their program of interest if interested in attending Clark in a future term.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Official transcript policy<\/summary>\n<p>Unofficial transcripts can be uploaded for application review.
