Our admissions process is need-aware, meaning that we will deny an application on financial grounds if the <strong>International Student Certification of Finances and Financial Assistance Application Form <\/strong>indicates greater need than we will be able to provide through merit scholarships and need-based financial aid. The CSS Profile is the only acceptable application for financial aid, and it must be submitted online to the College Board. The U.S. government prohibits international students from working outside the University.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-faq is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Can international students and their families take out private loans?<\/summary>\n<p>Yes. There are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/financial-aid\/types\/loans\/\">private loans<\/a>\u00a0available for international students. To do this, families pay four years of tuition the first year, thereby \u201clocking\u201d into the first year\u2019s tuition rate.&nbsp;Arrangements&nbsp;can be made&nbsp;by contacting the Director
