Cara has taught courses in education, sociology, activism, and media at Worcester State University, UMASS Boston and Wheelock College, as well as guest lecturing at a number of colleges and universities. She has produced content for MTV and NBC, and has presented at national conferences on issues of media, culture, education, and equity. In bringing her varied and extensive community-based scholarship and action to Clark, she seeks to connect students to authentic opportunities for community-engaged learning and deepen their relational scholarship in the Worcester community and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>Cara has provided training for dozens of organizations, including global non-profit leaders like Oxfam America and Facing History and Ourselves. Her work has been published by Harvard University in partnership with Lady Gaga\u2019s Born this Way Foundation and the MacArthur Foundation, as well as through a number of public-facing publications. She was featured in Gloria Feldt\u2019s No Excuses: Nine Ways Women Can Change How We Think about Power and gave the keynote for the inaugural symposium for the UpTake\u2019s groundbreaking Conflict Sensitive Journalism fellowship.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span>Cara<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>serves the community through several Boards and Committees, including as a founding board member of the Worcester Community Media Foundation. She also serves as Board President of EducateUS, as well as Beth Tikvah Synagogue.
