The business focused on connecting indigenous producers to global markets to improve livelihoods and markets. After selling his business, he transitioned into academia help develop the next generation of entrepreneurs. He has a master\u2019s degree in Development Management from the London School of Economics and a Doctorate from the University of Manchester (UK).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He is currently associate professor at Clark University and teaches courses on the Entrepreneurship &amp; Innovation minor. He teaches and travels widely and has taught at various global settings such as Canada, China, Colombia, France, Honduras, Mexico, Malaysia, Nepal, Spain, The Philippines, Uganda, &amp; the UK.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Through his DYME institute, he has worked with many universities to help develop their entrepreneurship program. Worcester is no stranger to these serious problems. According to a MassInc report, \\u201cThe Geography of Incarceration in a Gateway City: The Cost and Consequences of High Incarceration Rate Neighborhoods in Worcester, a total of 2,035 admissions to the Worcester House of Corrections in 2013 led to returns to the community. Neighborhoods such as Main South where poverty rates exceed 40 percent, bore the burden of mass incarceration including reentry challenges. Within one year after release 60-70% of formerly incarcerated people in Massachusetts remain unemployed (National Law Project). Without social and economic opportunities, more than 50% of released parolees become unemployed and homeless within a year of release. challenges faced by returning citizens in unemployment, business creation, and identify strategies to overcome marginalization that prevent them from becoming
