Professor Kushner co-edited a volume of\u00a0<\/span><span>essays titled<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span><em>Women and Work in Eighteenth-Century France<\/em><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>(LSU, 2015),<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>and another,<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span><em>French Histories of Sexuality From the Enlightenment to the Present<\/em><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>(University of Nebraska, 2023),<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>which examines how the history of\u00a0<\/span><span>sexuality challenges, nuances, and expands our view of the past.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Her current projects<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>include a monograph<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>currently titled \u201cThe Rules of Adultery: Sexual Culture in the Old Regime,\u201d<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>which is<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>a study of marriage, cheating, and the construction of social<\/span> <span>identity in Old Regime France.<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>She is also co-editing (with Dan Orrells) the six-volume series<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span><em>A Cultural History of Prostitution in the West<\/em><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>for Bloomsbury Press, and the <em>Handbook of the History of Sexuality<\/em> (with Nicole von Germeten) also with Bloomsbury.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Professor Kushner\u2019s teaching repertoire includes courses on<\/span> <span>the history of early modern Europe, the histories of women and gender,<\/span><span>\u00a0witchcraft,\u00a0<\/span><span>the history of policing,<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>and the history of\u00a0<\/span><span>sexuality.<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Professor Kushner received a B.A. in history and religion from Dartmouth College in 1990, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1994 and 2005, respectively.
