They\u00a0<\/span>specialize in creative writing (hybrid texts, poetry, fiction) and Latinx literature. They are the author of the novel <em>La Pava (<\/em>Ediciones Inubicalistas) and the poetry chapbook <em>A\/An<\/em> (End of the Line Press). <span>They hold an MFA in Poetry from Cornell University and their writing has appeared in the 2021 Best New Poets Anthology, Colorado Review, West Branch, AGNI, Quarterly West, DIAGRAM, diode, Interim, and other literary journals. Winner of the 2018 Boulevard Emerging Poets Prize, they have been awarded fellowships from the Bucknell Seminar for Younger Poets, Lambda Writing Retreat for Emerging LGBT Voices, TAKT Residency in Berlin, Center for Book Arts, Frost Place Conference on Poetry, the Studios at MASS MoCA, and MacDowell.\u00a0<\/span>They founded and run the Clark Poets and Writers Reading Series, which hosts readings by writers of color and queer\/trans writers. residing within the language of the legal system. As state-legislated violence, witch hunts were constitutive to the colonial order, reinforcing what was normal and what aberrant. Rather than regarding the witch hunts as historical curiosity or speculating to fill the gaps,\\u00a0&lt;em&gt;A\\\/An&lt;\\\/em&gt;&lt;span&gt;\\u00a0&lt;\\\/span&gt;considers the court examination as poetic form, a hybrid of legal language and lyric utterance. In these poems, English becomes foreign to itself, having distorted through time and slipped through the sieve of law, through the inevitable erasures of matter and the ideological erasures of the archive: the gaps marked \\u201c[illegible due to fold in paper],\\u201d and the silences that remain unmarked. In a poetics of the \\u201c[\\u2026]\\u201d,&lt;span&gt;\\u00a0&lt;\\\/span&gt;&lt;em&gt;A\\\/An&lt;\\\/em&gt;&lt;span&gt;\\u00a0&lt;\\\/span&gt;engages with textual gaps as lacunae. In&lt;span&gt;\\u00a0&lt;\\\/span&gt;&lt;em&gt;A\\\/An&lt;\\\/em&gt;, poetry and archive wrestle, shattering these legal documents that act as gravestones and spilling the voices caught
