for Including Events"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Clark\u2019s Marketing and Communications Office has developed the guidelines below to help you decide whether your event should be included in the main campus calendar or only in your department calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Events to include in the main campus calendar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Because Clark\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/events\/all-campus-events\/\">main campus calendar<\/a>&nbsp;appeals to broad, and often public, audiences, you should include events that are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Showcasing the vibrancy and diversity of academic and campus life.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sponsored by a Clark school, department, program, center, or group.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open to the Clark community (students, faculty, staff, alumni, and\/or parents and families).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generally open to the public unless otherwise indicated\/inferred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Held on or near campus (events off campus should be accessible via the Clark shuttle).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Major University events (e.g., all-university Undergraduate and Graduate Commencement events, Family Weekend, Orientation, Admissions Open House, etc.)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0these all-university events are entered only once by Clark\u2019s Marketing and Communications Office or the department involved, so no need for you to enter these events (we can show you how to include these events in your calendar if you wish)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lectures, symposia, seminars, discussions, and panels<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conferences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Readings\/meet-the-author events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performances<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exhibits and art openings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Film screenings\/discussions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Career fairs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Events to include only in office, department, or other calendars<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Some events may not appeal to a broad audience and thus would not be appropriate for the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/events\/all-campus-events\/\">main campus calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Department social events (e.g., welcome-back ice cream social)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Department meetings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Weekly drop-in hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ongoing department training sessions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student club\/organization meetings \u2014 instead, include in the\u00a0<a
