DESCRIPTION:Robert Deam Tobin was the inaugural Henry J. Leir Professor of Language\, Literature\, and Culture and a Strassler Center contributing faculty member. A remarkable teacher and scholar\, he was an expert in the fields of gay and lesbian studies\, queer theory\, gender studies\, human rights\, and German and European cultural studies.
