Nancy K. Burns, The Stoddard Associate Curator of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs at the Worcester Art Museum, will discuss the role of the curator as steward, collector, and scholar in the twenty-first century. Topics discussed will include balancing collection care with public access, developing exhibitions, considerations when acquiring and deaccessioning art, and some of the lesser-known day-to-day aspects of the job. This event is co-sponsored by the Studio Art Program and Higgins School of Humanities.
