In celebration of Juneteenth, join the Clark Black Alumni Association (CBAA) for this virtual conversation with Professor Ousmane Power-Greene, Ph.D., an associate professor in the History department and Clark’s director of Africana Studies. Dr. Power-Greene will address the 15 years of inspiration (all at Clark!) that went into his recently published novel, “The Confessions of Matthew Strong.” This event is free and open to all.

A major theme in the novel is the importance of communities coming together in times of existential threats as well as celebration. A hallmark of the CBAA is to foster connections across generations of Clark alumni. Email cbaa@clarku.edu, or fill out this survey to join this community, and check out your local bookstore for “The Confessions of Matthew Strong,” also available at online retailers.

The Clark Black Alumni Association (CBAA) was formed to affirm, enrich, and serve the Black Clark alumni community at and beyond the University. If you are interested in joining the mailing list or learning more about this affinity group,
please reach out to cbaa@clarku.edu or check out our website.
