Kate Rushin is an award-winning black queer feminist poet and was formerly on the faculty at Wesleyan University. Her work has been featured in “Home Girls:\u00a0 A Black Feminist Anthology,” “My Lover is a Women: Contemporary Lesbian Love Poems,” and the ground-breaking feminist anthology “The Bridge Called My Back: Writings by Radical Women of Color.” She is also the author of the poetry volume, “The Black Back-Ups: Poetry.” She has served as a judge for the Connecticut State University IMPAC Young Writers Award, the Connecticut Poetry Circuit Student Poetry Contest, and the NEA’s\/Poetry Foundation’s Poetry Out Loud.<\/p>\n

Co-Sponsored by the Women’s and Gender Studies Program, the Provost’s Office, Africana Studies, Clark University’s English Department through the Frazier Fund, and OPEN.<\/em><\/p>\n
