On September 25, the Department hosted the annual Graduate Poster Session<\/strong>, where fourth-year Ph.D. students presented their ongoing research. After the faculty cast their votes, Abhishek Mallick<\/strong> was selected as this year’s winner of the Best Poster Prize. Abhishek is working on international trade, and he presented a paper, “Rebate or Subsidy?: General Equilibrium Analysis of Semiconductor Tariff and Controls with Krugman\u2013EK Model.<\/strong>” In this work, he developed a quantitative trade model with firms and studied how different trade and industrial policies shape the number of firms and aggregate prices.
