The Gustaf H. Carlson School of Chemistry and Biochemistry has compiled a guide to help study for the ACS exams.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"arrow-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/departments\/chemistry\/www-content\/blogs.dir\/5\/files\/sites\/124\/2023\/03\/Appendix-ACS-Study-Guides.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" aria-label=\"link to ACS study guide\">ACS Study Guides<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Courses<\/h3>\n<p>Students must complete a minimum of 5 x 300-level 1 credit courses and 4 x .25 credit module courses including Chem 389, Research Methods.<\/p>\n<h3>Teaching Experience<\/h3>\n<p>All graduate students are required to have at least one year of teaching experience.<\/p>\n<h3>Seminars<\/h3>\n<p>All graduate students are required to participate in the department\u2019s seminar series and periodically present seminars.<\/p>\n<h3>Qualifying Exams II<\/h3>\n<p>Written exams created by the student\u2019s Faculty Advisory Committee concentrating on the student\u2019s area of research.
