{"id":1037,"date":"2019-06-24T13:16:45","date_gmt":"2019-06-24T17:16:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/departments\/chemistry-mockup\/?page_id=1037"},"modified":"2023-11-30T10:31:05","modified_gmt":"2023-11-30T15:31:05","slug":"doctoral-research","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/departments\/chemistry\/research\/doctoral-research\/","title":{"rendered":"Doctoral Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Opportunities for Research<\/h2>\n<p>Doctoral students pursue their course needs and research interests with supportive confidence among faculty whose work is recognized through funding by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"National Science Foundation\">National Science Foundation<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nih.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"National Institutes of Health\">National Institutes of Health<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Students also can leverage the department\u2019s size and collaborative nature to take part in <a href=\"https:\/\/clarknow.clarku.edu\/2016\/11\/10\/grammar-lessons-faculty-student-team-decoding-language-of-the-genome\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"interdisciplinary research groups\">interdisciplinary research groups<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/departments\/chemistry\/research\/facilities\/\" aria-label=\"faculty labs\">faculty labs<\/a> as well as partnerships with Worcester Polytechnic Institute and the University of Massachusetts Medical School.<\/p>\n<p>Graduate students publish their work in scientific journals and present their work at conferences including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.proteinsociety.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"The Protein Society\u2019s annual symposium\">The Protein Society\u2019s annual symposium<\/a> and Clark\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/graduate-multidisciplinary-conference\/\" aria-label=\"Graduate Student Multidisciplinary Conference\">Graduate Student Multidisciplinary Conference<\/a>, among others, with funding assistance available from the department and professional organizations.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"filled-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/departments\/chemistry\/research\/faculty-research\/\" aria-label=\"Faculty research\">Faculty research<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Opportunities for Research Doctoral students pursue their course needs and research interests with supportive confidence among faculty whose work is recognized through funding by the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.
