Throughout their tenure, they attend both on- and off- campus presentations.<\/p>\n<p>Our students have presented at national and international conferences sponsored by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sicb.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology\">Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.animalbehaviorsociety.org\/web\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"Animal Behavior Society\">Animal Behavior Society<\/a>, and the Society for Mathematical Biology, and have won prestigious <a href=\"https:\/\/clarknow.clarku.edu\/2018\/04\/27\/biology-doctoral-student-wins-prestigious-nsf-fellowship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships\">National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re backed by faculty experts whose research has been funded by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.templeton.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"John Templeton Foundation\">John Templeton Foundation<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nih.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"National Institutes of Health\">National Institutes of Health<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Science Foundation<\/a>, to name a few, and their expertise has both local and global reach.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants to our program are encouraged to directly contact the faculty member whose research interests appeal to them.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"filled-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/departments\/biology\/research\/faculty-research\/\" aria-label=\"Faculty Research\">Faculty Research<\/a> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<a class=\"filled-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/departments\/biology\/people\/faculty\/\" aria-label=\"Contact Our Faculty\">Contact Our Faculty<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Opportunities for Research Our doctoral students conduct research culminating in a dissertation.
