Regional Environmental Council
The REC oversees a youth urban agriculture program, in addition to mobile farmers markets and a network of community gardens. Help is needed for seedling sorting during the annual plant sale and for summer garden care at school gardens through watering and weeding. These roles are ideal for individuals or small groups able to make short, recurring visits.
REC Worcester promotes food justice and environmental sustainability through community gardens, youth employment, farmers markets, and programs that increase access to healthy, local food.
