\"Alexis<\/p>\n

Major:<\/strong> Sociology<\/a> and psychology<\/a><\/p>\n

Clark Days:<\/strong> When classes moved online after the onset of the pandemic, many students found it challenging to stay engaged from afar. Alexis was taking Sports and Sociology at the time, and despite the disruption of her typical college routine, found she could easily connect with course material. Alexis was on the cross country team her freshman year and has participated in the Undergraduate Psychology Committee. College was also a family affair for \u2014 her Clark days overlapped with those of her brother, Michael Stone, who received his master\u2019s in \u201922 and bachelor\u2019s in \u201921, and her sister Jaclyn Stone, a rising sophomore. Her mother is sociology Professor Rosalie Torres Stone<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Post-Commencement Plans:<\/strong> Alexis is starting a position as a clinical research assistant at the Olin Neuropsychiatry Research Center<\/a> in Hartford, Connecticut. She will spend the next two years studying the neurological causes of alcoholism. Eventually, Alexis wants to pursue a Ph.D. in clinical psychology.<\/p>\n

Observation:<\/strong> \u201cAs an undergrad, I wanted to meet different people and get as many learning experiences as possible because I believe you learn from the people you meet. I’m really excited to go into the adult world juggling less and to immerse myself into one career path and be truly independent for the first time.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
