\"Esha<\/p>\n

Major:<\/strong> Geography<\/a>, with a minor in political science<\/a><\/p>\n

Clark Days:<\/strong> The summer after her sophomore year, Esha studied the relationship between altitude and winter wind chill temperature as part of a National Science Foundation-funded NEPARS Research Experience for Undergraduates<\/a>. Last summer, she worked with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration\u2019s OAR Climate Program Office<\/a> to build a database of flood-resilience strategies used across the U.S. Outside of her research, she worked at Clark\u2019s Career Connections Center and as a peer mentor for the Clark Navigator program for incoming students, and was treasurer of the South Asian Student Association and a member of the African Diaspora Dance Association, International Student Rights Coalition, Gryphon and Pleiades Honor Society, and Gamma Theta Upsilon Honor Society.<\/p>\n

Post-Commencement Plans:<\/strong> As part of a Global Sustainability Scholars<\/a> fellowship this summer, Esha will work with a Virginia Tech University professor to research sustainable consumerism and sustainable production and attend a weeklong international conference on sustainability, in Panama. This fall, she will start Clark\u2019s fifth-year Accelerated Degree Program in geographic information science (GIS)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Observation:<\/strong> Since high school in India, Esha has loved studying geography. \u201cWhat drew me to Clark was geography itself,\u201d she says of Clark\u2019s top-rated Graduate School of Geography<\/a>. \u201cYou can connect geography to pretty much anything; it covers so many different areas and different topics.
