It’s always important to have the proper tools to help you succeed in any academic setting. Whether you are taking notes in a classroom, working on a virtual group project, or engaging in online learning, you will want to make full use of the free software tools that Clark provides.
Set Yourself Up for Online Success

Get Connected. Stay Connected.
Activate your Clarku.edu email account and check it often! Your Clark email and calendar are used for official communications from the University, and will be critical tools for staying in touch with your instructors, your classmates, and the campus community. Access your Clark email online, or (recommended) with the Outlook application for your mobile device.
Get the software you need. For free.
Set up your device with the tools you’ll need. Take advantage of free software provided to Clark students, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom. Check out this detailed list of technology recommendations and links to free software provided by the Clark University Office of Information Technology Services (ITS).
Learn to Moodle.
Moodle is Clark’s online Learning Management System (LMS). Most Clark courses have at least some aspects loaded into Moodle: from the syllabus, course calendar, and instructor communications to online discussions and stand-alone learning modules.
