Ruby Maddox will provide an original framework to help individuals connect their “inner-why” to their higher purpose. The co-founder of two non-profits focused on social justice, leadership, and equity, Maddox will guide participants as they explore their own values and goals. Step-by-step, she will teach them how to gain clarity, develop their vision, and take actionable steps to achieve it.

This event is offered in conjunction with Mindful Choices, a course presented by the Higgins School of Humanities with instructor Jessica Bane-Robert. Participation in the workshop is free and open to the public.


Ruby Maddox is a coach, consultant, speaker, and workshop facilitator, dedicated to helping individuals cultivate their potential for meaningful contribution to society. She is the co-founder of two nonprofit organizations—Gardening the Community and Leaders of the Free World—focused on social justice, leadership, and equity. Ruby believes that helping people and organizations connect to their purpose allows them to create a strategy for life from their inner-why. She is a TEDx speaker and has received numerous awards, including a 40 Under 40 Business and Community Leader’s award.
