Kalu Okigwe holds a B.S. in Geography and Environmental Management and is currently pursuing an MSGIS at Clark University. Before joining Clark, he worked as a Geospatial Data Scientist and Analyst in waste management, environmental engineering, and urban planning, as well as Deputy Director of GIS and Data Analytics for a consulting firm. His expertise includes geospatial data mining, engineering, visualization, analytics, remote sensing, and GIS research.
He is a research assistant on a NOAA-funded project in collaboration with the George Perkins Marsh Institute and the Center for Geospatial Analytics, analyzing coastal-community hazard mitigation and adaptation outcomes across New England.
His research interests include: AI applications in Earth observation, environmental monitoring, mapping, and modeling.
