The Career Connections Center is here to help you explore the role your identity may play in your job search and connect you to helpful resources. You can&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/clarku.joinhandshake.com\/appointments\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">make an appointment<\/a>&nbsp;with a career adviser to ask questions, build a job or internship search strategy, and learn how to navigate the resources available to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-campus-resources\">Campus resources<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/offices\/identity\/\">Office for Identity, Student Engagement, and Access (ISEA)<\/a>&nbsp;at Clark University provides formal&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/offices\/identity\/community-groups\/\">affinity spaces for students of color<\/a>&nbsp;that meet biweekly each semester. These programs are empowering and supportive spaces consisting of speakers, interactive workshops, and discussions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/offices\/counseling\/\">Center for Counseling and Personal Growth<\/a>&nbsp;provides individual support, discussion groups, events and programs, and resources for your mental and emotional health, including a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/offices\/counseling\/self-help\/mental-health-toolbox\/\">Mental Health Toolbox<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-find-a-job-internship-or-fellowship\">Find a job, internship, or fellowship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.haceonline.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hispanic Alliance for Career Advancement<\/a>&nbsp;provides a job search tool with keyword and location filters to locate opportunities for Latinx students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hirelatinos.org\/jobs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">United Latino Job Bank<\/a>&nbsp;is a search index in support of Hispanic and Latinx job opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.latpro.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Latpro<\/a>&nbsp;is a job board and career support resource for Hispanic and bilingual professionals in the United States.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ihispano.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Selecting a Latino Friendly Employer<\/a>&nbsp;is an article that lists five elements to look for that will provide some evidence that a potential employer is \u201cLatino friendly\u201d and has an inclusive work environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-professional-organizations\">Professional organizations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.haceonline.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HACE<\/a>&nbsp;is a national nonprofit dedicated to the employment, development, and advancement of current and aspiring Latinx professionals. Through professional development, resources, and networks, and by facilitating access to meaningful career opportunities, HACE helps Latinx students and professionals succeed in every phase of their careers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/careercenter.shpe.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers<\/a>&nbsp;is the nation\u2019s largest association dedicated to fostering Hispanic leadership in the STEM field. The SHPE Job Board is a leading online career center, serving as a career hub for Hispanic STEM professionals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lbausa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Latin Business Association (LBA)<\/a>&nbsp;is committed to the success of its members, partners, and supporters by providing high-quality events, innovative programs and services, and useful and tangible resources that enhance business growth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>National Society for Hispanic Professionals (NSHP) is the top US networking association for Hispanic professionals. It is free to join, so connect with new people who share your interests and find out more about diversity job fairs happening in your area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-funding-and-scholarships\">Funding and scholarships<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/chci.org\/programs\/congressional-internship-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute<\/a>&nbsp;offers scholarships, internships, fellowships, and other programs to help develop future Latinx leaders in corporations, government agencies, nonprofits, and other organizations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lulac.org\/programs\/education\/scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">League of United Latin American Citizens, Scholarships (LULAC)<\/a>&nbsp;offers a variety of scholarships for high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students through their educational sponsor, the LULAC National Educational Service Centers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsf.net\/scholarship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hispanic Scholarships<\/a>&nbsp;provides a list of available scholarship options for students of Hispanic or Latinx descent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hacu.net\/hacu\/Scholarship_Resource_List.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities<\/a>&nbsp;provides and an extensive list of scholarships, internships, and student programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.latpro.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hispanic Scholarship Fund<\/a>&nbsp;awards scholarships ranging from $500-$5,000. HSF Scholars have access to invaluable Scholar Support Services including career services, mentorship, leadership development, knowledge building, and wellness training. Applicants must be of Hispanic heritage and a U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA recipient.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brownandcaldwell.com\/careers\/minority-scholarship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brown and Caldwell, Minority Scholarships<\/a>&nbsp;offers $5,000 scholarships to support minority students who are interested in pursuing a career in the environmental profession.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smithsonianofi.com\/minority-internship-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Smithsonian Institution Minority Internship Program<\/a>&nbsp;is a 10-week summer, fall, or spring internship opportunity. Interns work on research or museum-related projects under the supervision of museum staff members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.emmabowenfoundation.com\/application_info\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Emma Bowen Foundation<\/a>&nbsp;promotes a more diverse industry by recruiting promising students of color and placing them in multiyear paid internships at some of the nation\u2019s leading media and tech companies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/baucemag.com\/minority-women-scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">100+ College and Grad School Scholarships for African-American Women<\/a>&nbsp;is a curated list of scholarships targeted toward multicultural women of African and Latin descent who are enrolled as undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of academic disciplines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-entrepreneurship\">Entrepreneurship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LatinxStartupAlliance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Latino Startup Alliance<\/a>&nbsp;encourages the inspiration and cultivation of U.S. Latinx-led technology startup ventures by providing a strong support network of fellow entrepreneurs, investors, innovators, and mentors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hispanic100.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hispanic 100<\/a>&nbsp;develops and promotes leadership within and from the Hispanic community to advance and support venture principles through advocacy and educational activities that impact the Hispanic population as it relates to the overall social and economic good.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/iqlatino.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Latino Entrepreneurs<\/a>&nbsp;is where successful and upstart Latinx ventures share their businesses\u2019 paths, progressions, problems, highlights, and more as a way to disseminate information to those contemplating a startup.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interested in starting your own business?&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/helloalice.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hello Alice<\/a>&nbsp;is a technology platform that helps businesses launch and grow by providing access to funding, networks, and services. The platform runs a funding and mentoring program called Business for All, which funds grants of up to $50,000 to support diverse small business owners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbir.gov\/applicants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Grants<\/a>&nbsp;foster and encourage participation in government contracting by socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses. The SBIR issues Black business grants, minority business grants, and women business grants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-suggested-reading\">Suggested
