Welcome New GOLD Council Members: Maire Geoghegan ’24, M.A. ’25, Alec William Hoffman ’23, and Idriss Laouali Abdou, MBA ’23.
Maire is pursuing a master’s degree in Community Development and Planning after earning her bachelor’s degree in Geography and Marketing. During her undergrad years, she was president of the Student Alumni Relations Committee (SARC) and marketing chair for All Kinds of Growth (AKOG). Currently, Maire is the elected social chair of the Sustainability and Social Justice Department (SSJ). She is defining her career trajectory, with interests in fundraising, event planning, and marketing, particularly within the nonprofit sector.
Alec graduated from Clark University in 2023 with a degree in political science and a minor in history. During his time at Clark, he was a member of the cross country and Model United Nations teams. Alec currently resides in Manama, Bahrain working as an officer in the United States Navy where he provides support to Fifth Fleet. In his free time, Alec likes to read, run, paint, and meander about.
Idriss, a Sr. Product Manager at Amazon Web Services and Fulbright Scholar, is a leader and innovator. After completing his MBA at Clark University, he earned the O-1 visa for extraordinary abilities. He founded Karatou Post Bac, an award-winning platform supporting youth in education and career decisions. Through his KPB Education YouTube channel, he empowers over 60k viewers with transformative knowledge.
