I have spent my life living and traveling all over the world. I was born in Los Angeles, California and spent my teenage years in central Texas, followed by 13 years in Canberra, Australia, and for the last seven years have been in Massachusetts. I have traveled to more than 30 countries around the world and I look forward to the next new place I can add to that list. My passion is learning about cultures, countries, environments, politics, and food. When I was younger I found “learning” to be boring, but when I discovered my passion I realized learning can be exciting and eye-opening. That is one reason I decided on a career in higher education over 15 years ago: to help others find and learn about their passions, especially in the place I now call home, Massachusetts!
I’m from an ancient city in China called Jingzhou. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Renmin University of China and spent two years in Beijing, working in consulting for renewable energy projects, before coming to the U.S. After earning my master’s degree in environmental science and policy at Clark, I started working in higher education. I found my passion for international collaboration while working on a partnership program with Peking University for the Albright Institute at Wellesley College, and at Wellesley’s Slater International Center I provided immigration and on-campus support to international students. At Clark, my focus is also on international students, which I enjoy a lot. Out of work, I like cooking and exploring the world with my one-year-old daughter.
I was born and raised in Massachusetts and received my bachelor’s in Advertising & Marketing Communications from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. After graduating, I worked in a few different marketing roles, including one at my alma mater, where I focused on marketing and communications in international student admissions. Here at Clark, my territory is international and I truly love meeting and getting to know the students I encounter during my travels and on campus. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new places, cooking, trying new foods, and spending time with friends. Clark University is an extremely diverse, friendly and welcoming place — I can’t wait to welcome you here!
I moved to the MetroWest Boston Area about five years ago, and completed my undergraduate degree at Framingham State University. After working in undergraduate admissions for several years, I am excited to be expanding my horizons as a counselor in Clark’s Graduate Admissions Office. I am passionate about providing my students with a personalized and supportive enrollment process, to assist in leading them to their future endeavors. When I am not at Clark, I spend time with family and friends, play field hockey, coach my team of eight-year-olds in competitive ski racing, volunteer at my church and in my local community, hang out at the beach, or travel around the world.
