Transforming more broadly.

The breakthroughs at the University Park Campus School (UPCS) are just the beginning of Clark's influence on urban students. Many schools across the country have already begun adopting Clark's model.

When the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University set out to launch two small schools in Philadelphia, they took cues from Clark's methods. And this year, for the first time, the model will be implemented across an entire school district in Hidalgo, Texas.

In the years ahead, UPCS and the Jacob Hiatt Center for Urban Education will conduct additional research to more fully document and explain how and why the method works—making it easier for city schools to recreate the same success at home.
