First-year students (Class of 2017)

Residence Halls will open for first-year students at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22. Students moving in on that date should enter the campus via Woodland Street (Formerly Downing Street) from Main Street. Once on Woodland Street, University staff will be on hand to direct your vehicle based on which residence hall you are living in. Please have your residence hall name and room number handy.

Live 500+ miles from campus?

First-year students who live 500 or more miles from Clark and who are not coming for a pre-orientation program may request permission to arrive on campus a day early on Wednesday, Aug. 21. To request permission, please contact Kevin Forti by Aug. 1. For those students receiving permission, residence halls will open at noon on Aug. 21. Please pick up your key at the Residential Life and Housing Office located at 151 Woodland Street (Formerly 22 Downing Street).

Important: Please note that this allowance is only free for first-year students living 500 or more miles away, and is available only for a daily fee for winter break and in subsequent years.

Participating in an early orientation program?

If you are participating in an early orientation program (Clark Trek, International Orientation, etc.), you should contact your program directly to determine your arrival time.

New transfer students

Halls open for transfer students on Friday, Aug. 23.
