Getting Around Worcester
Woo Bus
This free Friday/Saturday night shuttle service connects five participating schools (WPI, Assumption, Clark, Worcester State and Holy Cross) to each other and five desirable downtown spots for food, shopping and entertainment. The Woo Bus is free for full-time undergraduate students at participating colleges. You MUST show your college ID to ride. More information and schedule
The Colleges of Worcester Consortium Shuttle
A free Consortium shuttle service is provided Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. The route connects six member campuses (WPI, Becker, Assumption, Clark, Worcester State and Holy Cross) with service to the Worcester Public Library, Union Station, Worcester Art Museum and the downtown area. You can pick up the shuttle outside of Atwood Hall on Downing Street. It leaves every hour on the 26th minute, with the first shuttle leaving at 7:26 a.m. and the last at 6:26 p.m. More information and schedule
Student Council Van
The Student Council and the Office of Student Leadership & Programming work together throughout the year to provide transportation services to students by leasing a twelve passenger van from Merchants Van & Truck.
Student Council Van Shuttle
The shuttle offers free transportation to area shopping hot spots every Friday and Saturday throughout the school year.
On Friday, the van makes regular routes between 3:30pm – 10:30pm to the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough, MA.
The Solomon Pond Mall features over 115 shops and restaurants as well as a 15-screen movie theater.
On Saturday, the van makes regular routes between 2:20pm – 10:30pm to the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley,
where specialty stores and popular restaurants line the outdoors with a newly renovated movie theater within the complex.
Student Council Van Rental
The van is available for use by student clubs and organizations when the van is not being used for the Student Council Shuttle.
For a small fee of $25/day, students may travel to and from events within 250 miles of campus.
Drivers must be at least 21 years old and have defensive driving course certification through Clark University.
