Upcoming Events
Outing Club activities are open to all Clark undergraduates. Others in the Clark community interested in a club trip should inquire about space availability.

Listed events are subject to change. Advance reservation for most trips is required. Last minute sign-ups are accommodated solely at the discretion of the trip leader. Procedures for requesting a spot on a trip are announced on our mailing list prior to each trip.

March 2010

  • Friday March 19th - Monday March 22nd: White Mountains backpacking trip. We'll spend a weekend in the Whites doing some winter hiking and camping.

  • Thursday March 25th: Clark Sustainability Fair in Tilton Hall; 12PM-3PM. The Outing Club will be presenting information about Leave No Trace Ethics at this year's Sustainability Fair! The event takes place on Thursday, March 25th, from 12 to 3 in Tilton Hall. This is a great opportunity to learn about sustainability initiatives at Clark and in the greater Worcester area. Stop by to find out how you can get involved!

  • Sunday March 28th: Clark Nature Connection hike of Eagle Lake Wildlife Sanctuary in Holden, MA; 12PM.

April 2010

  • Friday April 2nd: Kayaking Clinic in the Kneller pool. Want to learn how to perform a self rescue in a kayak (an Eskimo roll) in Clark's very own Kneller pool? Our clinic will be taught by professional instructors from Zoar Outdoor. The cost is a $20 and all necessary equipment will be provided. What's it look like? Check out the photos and video clips from our last Kneller kayak clinic a few years ago.

  • Saturday April 3rd: Just Do It Day; 12PM-4PM. Join the Outing Club and many other Clark students in a day of community service! Watch for additional details

  • Thursday April 1st: Indoor rock climbing at Central Rock Gym in Worcester.

  • Saturday April 10th: Bouldering at The Rock Spot gym in Boston.

  • Tuesday April 13th: Indoor rock climbing at Central Rock Gym in Worcester.

  • Friday April 16th - Sunday April 18th: Weekend Camping trip.

  • Saturday April 17th: Evening hike with Clark Hillel.

  • Sunday April 18th: Clark Nature Connection hike.

  • Saturday April 24th: Purgatory Chasm trip with optional caving.

April 2010

  • Saturday May 1st: Worcester's annual citywide Earth Day clean-up. We're planning to host or co-host a clean-up site.

  • Tusday May 4th: Annual end-of-year Marshmallow Roast between Goddard Library & Bullock Hall.
