Dr. Robert Hutchings Goddard
Dr. Robert H. Goddard (October 5, 1882 - August 10, 1945) is best known for being the father of modern
rocketry. Because of his pioneering theoretical and experimental research, Dr. Goddard created many
techniques that are still used in rockets.
This site about Dr. Goddard contains over a dozen web pages. Use the Additional Resources menu to the right to
access these pages. The pages include drawings of rockets, lists of published items written by and about
him, photos of his diary, and other information about him. We also have a
digital collection of some of Robert Goddard's most requested or most important
materials. We hope that you find these pages interesting
and useful.
The Dr. Robert H. Goddard Collection is housed in the Archives
and Special Collections area of Clark University's Robert H. Goddard Library.
The Robert Goddard Exhibition
will be on the 2nd Floor of the library. Please note: As of April 18, 2008 the Goddard Exhibition will be closed due to the Goddard Library renovation. Anticipated reopening
is later in 2009. Check back for details.
