How do I know if I am considered an international student?

You are an international student if you are not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

What is Clark's current tuition for undergraduate students?

Expenses for the 2016-2017 academic year are estimated to be $56,529. This includes tuition, room and board, fees and health insurance, which all students are expected to pay.

Are international students eligible for financial aid?

Yes. Clark offers a limited number of need-based grants in addition to merit scholarships for international students. You will be automatically considered for most merit scholarships. Separate essays are required to be considered for two merit scholarships: the Presidential LEEP Scholarship and the Global Scholars Program Scholarship.

International students are not eligible for financial aid from the state of Massachusetts or the U.S. government.

Which Clark merit scholarships are available for international first-year or transfer students?

Currently, international first-year students are eligible for five merit scholarships: the International Traina Scholarship, the International Achievement Scholarship, the International Jonas Clark Scholarship, the Presidential LEEP Scholarship and the Global Scholars Scholarship. All international first-year students are automatically considered for the first three scholarships. Separate essays are required to be considered for the Presidential LEEP Scholarship and the Global Scholars Program Scholarship.

International transfer students are eligible for three merit scholarships: the International Traina Scholarship, the International Achievement Scholarship and the International Jonas Clark Scholarship.

All international students who apply to Clark are automatically considered for merit scholarships.

Do I have to submit the CSS PROFILE?

All international students seeking need-based financial assistance must complete the College Scholarship Service (CSS) PROFILE.

If you only wish to be considered for merit scholarships, you do not need to submit the CSS PROFILE.

Can international students work to pay for their educational expenses?

Although there are a limited number of part-time, on-campus jobs for international students, the income from these jobs is only sufficient to provide "pocket money"; you will not earn enough income to pay for a significant portion of your educational expenses. The U.S. government prohibits international students from working outside the University.

Can international students and their families take out private loans?

Does Clark offer a "discount" if I can pay for all four years at once?

Clark offers families the option of fixing the tuition rate for four years at the first-year level. To do this, families pay four years of tuition the first year, thereby "locking" into the tuition rate of the student's first year.
