Kansai Gaidai University Asian Studies Program, Hirakata
A full-year, fall, or spring semester program located on the Yodo River midway between Kyoto and Osaka in Hirakata City, our program at the Kansai Gaidai University of Foreign Studies allots five spaces for qualified students with a GPA of 3.0 or better. Although the language of instruction outside of language courses is English, students must have at least one year of Japanese by the time of departure.
Students take four or five courses per semester to receive four Clark units, one of which must be Spoken Japanese. Electives include Reading and Writing Japanese as well as courses relating to Japanese business, economics, politics, history, philosophy, culture, literature, and art.
Student housing can be arranged either in a Japanese-style dormitory or with a Japanese family.
