Office of Study Abroad and Study Away Programs

Programs to Increase Your Foreign Language Proficiency

The main focus of the study abroad programs listed here is to enable you to improve your foreign language skills through studying and living in the country where the language is spoken. After beginning a foreign language at Clark, you can then continue your studies at the intermediate or advanced level overseas. If available, students with advanced foreign language skills can take regular university courses side-by-side with native degree-seeking students. Several programs offer a host family stay to deepen cultural immersion.

For each of these foreign language study abroad opportunities, information is listed regarding required language proficiency levels and whether the program also includes regular university courses at the host institution. Use the program links to view more specific information about each program.
