The London Internship Program
The London Internship Program consists of a one semester Internship, which may be selected from a broad range of fields. Examples of previous fields are:
- Art
- Design
- Education
- Pressure Groups (e.g. Environmental Pressure Group, Amnesty International)
- Hospitals/Health Organizations
- Insurance
- Journalism
- Government
- Marketing
- Public Relations
- Social Services
- Museums
- Biology
- Music
- Holocaust Studies
Students work in their Internship placements 20 hours per week and take three additional courses through London University (Birkbeck College).
Students are required, among other things, to complete a midterm and final essay, and participate in a Crossing Cultures Seminar in order to receive credit for the internship course. If requested by the London Internship Director, students have to complete a student learning contract. Students live independently in fully furnished flats, arranged by the program, located in North-Central London.
