Office of Study Abroad and Study Away Programs

The Application Review

All students applying to study abroad go through an application review by the Study Abroad Review Committee, which includes the program faculty advisor.

This first approval ensures that Clark supports your application for study abroad credit. You will receive a letter to your campus box indicating the decision approximately 2-3 weeks after the application deadline.

Your application will then be sent to the overseas institution or program provider for a final review. Applications at this stage can be rejected for a number of reasons, depending on the policies and procedures of the partner institution/program. Our office will try to work with you throughout this process.

For all programs, you should expect to hear whether you've been fully accepted approximately 4-8 weeks after the application deadline.
