Clark University names Bennett Director of Clark Fund

bill bennettWorcester, Mass. - William S. Bennett, of Waltham, MA, was named Director of the Clark Fund and Major Gifts Officer at Clark University, effective June 1.
For the past 16 years, Bennett has worked in Clark's Alumni Affairs Office, including nine years as Director of Alumni Affairs. In 1999, his responsibilities increased to include Major Gifts. He recently served several months as Clark's Interim Director of University Advancement while the search for a new Vice President of University of Advancement was under way.

Bennett has been active in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) since entering the advancement field, and has served on several CASE District I Conference Committees. He chaired the 2002 District I Conference in Boston. He was on the CASE District I Board from 2000 -2005 and was a faculty member for the CASE Summer Institute for Alumni Relations Professionals, at Vanderbilt University in 2004. In 2005, Bennett received the Carol and Stephen Hebert Award, recognizing his extraordinary devotion of time and energy for District I affairs.

Bennett received his Masters in Public Administration from Clark in 1997. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Bennett was born in Auburn, MA, and attended Auburn High School.
