Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Poster Samples

Step 1: Choose the template you want to use for your poster

There are currently six 11x17 poster designs to choose from. Some of the posters have a choice of three color palettes, and some of them have a choice of fonts. All of them can be used with a photo supplied by you, or without a photo.

Design Costs

The design price of your poster will range anywhere from $60-$120 depending on how many editing rounds you go through with the designer. For example, if you send the designer clean copy the first time around and approve the poster right away, your cost will be approximately $60. Vice versa, if you send the designer multiple rounds of edits, or even change your poster choice during design, your poster may cost more than the $120 figure. Please note that final price will not be known until the job is over, and the designer has figured out how many rounds of edits there have been.

Printing Costs

We recommend Curry Printing for ease of delivery, but you may use whomever you choose. Curry's prices for 11x17 posters are:

  • Up to 100 posters = .90 ea.
  • 100 – 499 = .78 ea.
  • Over 500 = .73 ea.

Using a photo

Photos must be either a traditional print photograph scanned at high resolution or a high-resolution digital image. High resolution means 300 dots per inch at an image size of four inches by six inches. If you need help with photos, please contact the ITS Help Desk.

An important note about photos

Just because a photo looks fine on your computer screen does not mean it is high resolution and does not mean it will look fine on your poster. If it's low resolution it will print very blurry, and your poster will lose its professional quality.
