May Term in Luxembourg
The May Term
The May Term is an intensive four-week academic program in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It offers undergraduate students from U.S. universities the opportunity to enroll in one full-credit course, to be chosen from three courses offered each year from mid-May to mid-June.
An intensive study program (mid-May to mid-June), the May Term offers three undergraduate courses each year. Undergraduate and graduate students may enroll in only one of the three courses (graduate students must make arrangements with the appropriate professor to complete additional work). Each course carries one full unit of Clark credit and has no prerequisites.
Courses are taught in English by professors from Clark University as well as from The College of the Holy Cross to students from these institutions. (In special circumstances, students from other institutions may also be admitted.) Importantly, all courses directly relate to Luxembourg and/or European conditions and affairs. As part of the May Term experience, students broaden their classroom learning by participating in mandatory field trips to sites of particular interest in Luxembourg and surrounding countries.
